She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Eugene Ludwig and Mary Anne Ford Ludwig; her sister Alice Pembroke Ludwig (David Stewart Roberts, Jr); her sisters-in-law, Adah-Grace Roberts Vollmer and Marcia Holcomb Roberts Winn; and her nephews, Jonathan Witherspoon Winn and Peter Holcomb Winn.

She is survived by: her children, David Stewart Roberts III (Rita) of Charlottesville, VA, Taiwan and Benjamin Bates Roberts (Rocio); her grandchildren, Joshua, Julie and Jonathan of Roanoke, Texas.; her brother Robert Sanford Ludwig (Gwenyth Rankin); and her nieces and nephews, Robert Bogan Ludwig, Emily Ludwig Serazin (Andrew), Susannah Ludwig (Anthony), Patricia Ludwig Chilton (Harrison), Mary Anne Ludwig, David Roberts Winn and Daniel Hinsdale Winn.
