With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucy Margaret McCauley (Charlottesville, Virginia), who passed away on September 17, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Gibson and Lois Gibson of Charlottesville, VA; her sister Mary Lois; her son Brian Keith McCauley; and her close friend Linda Dale "Short" Morris.

She is survived by: her siblings, William Gibson and Lois Sandridge (Tommy Sandridge); her daughter Jeanie M. Thompson (Pete Guilford); her grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Gabriel Thompson, Brittany Barker and Ashley Gentry (Jonathan Gentry); her great grandchildren, Savannah Shifflett, Cayden Tomlin and Brian Shifflett (Boogie); and her close friends, Judy "Bucky" McCauley and Dannielle Shifflett. She is also survived by her grandsons and friends.
