He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Charles and Willie Hutchens Daniel; and his sons, Gregory Lynn and Barton Neal. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Berry Daniel; his son Kenneth "Kent" L. Daniel, Jr. (Garlene); his daughter-in-law Vicki Young; his grandchildren, Whitney D. Backus (Sean), Barton N. Daniel, Jr. (Maca), Kenneth L. Daniel III (Becca), Jacqueline Daniel and Ell Daniel; his great grandchildren, Robert Leon Backus, Hope Melody Backus and Kenneth L. Daniel IV; his in-laws, Bill, Joan B. Hager, Charles K. and Shirley Berry; and also Patty Adkins (Anne Parker). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Orange Baptist Church (123 W Main St, Orange, VA 22960).
