He is survived by: his wife Jan Thomas; his daughter Pamela Thomas Lennard (James); his grandchildren, Melinda Sise and Alexander Ross Drury; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Waylon and Miles.
Jim's request, in lieu of flowers, were donations to be made in his honor to First Baptist Church, Charlottesville, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
