It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Kevin Lavin of Charlottesville, Virginia, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Joseph and Rita Irene Lavin (Murray); his wife Carol Ann McNeil; and his brother Paul. He is survived by: his son Keith (Roseanne); his grandchildren, Craig (Jen), Jaime (Jarett) and Evan; his daughter Karen DeSpiegelaere; his granddaughters, Emily and Jessica; his daughter Kimberly; his grandson Nicholas Pilipowskyj (Rebecca); and his great grandchild Colin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choosing.
