Harold R. Strang Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold R. Strang (Charlottesville, Virginia), born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on April 20, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert K. Strang and Lillian F. Strang; and his daughter Christina Russell. He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Dana Strang Peterson (Sean) and John Strang (Jonathan Hopkins); his grandchildren, Michael Carlos Hartling and Melia Mishel Hartling; his stepgrandson Toby Lee Peterson; and his brother Glenn Alden Strang.
Following Harry's brain surgery in 2012 and in deep appreciation to the University of Virginia, Harry and Alice established an endowment to fund seed research in neurotrauma, use of stem cells in neuroscience, and/or Alzheimer's.
