He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis E. Coles and Amelia F. Coles. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Coles of Albemarle County; his sons, Justin James Coles (Nicole) of Albemarle County and Matthew Goodall Coles (Robin) of Fluvanna County; and his sister Teresa Coles Jackson of Charlottesville. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
