She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Brown and Lottie Carey Brown; her daughter Paige Rush; her siblings, Clara, AnnieMae, Gertrude, William, Joseph, Alma, David and Townsend; and her brother-in-law Charles A. Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Perri Rush Brown (Clayton) and Richard Rush, Jr. (Sharon); her grandchildren, Prentice, Kala, Alicia and Jonathan; and her sisters, Rosa Hudson of Charlottesville and Lula Feggans Musyoki of Mombasa, Kenya.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends.
