The lying in state was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the J. F. Bell Funeral Home Chapel (108 6th St NW, Charlottesville, VA 22903). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Caroline traveled with her friends and did charity work with the Elks Lodge.
