She was predeceased by: her parents, William Seldon Herndon and Joyce Coiner Herndon; and her grandson Tyler Austin Bunyea. She is survived by: her daughter Sarah (Marshall) of Stanardsville; her nephews, Christopher Herndon (Beth) and Patrick Herndon (Brittany); her great-nephews, Connon, Alex and Sam Herndon; her great-niece Madison Herndon of Orange; her aunt Ann Marie Nygaard of Culpeper; and her friend Church.
