Arlene Saunders Proffitt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 19, 2023, at the age of 90, Arlene Saunders Proffitt of Charlottesville, Virginia, born in Rockfish, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Edward Proffitt; her parents, Gabriel Talmadge Saunders and Mary Frances Giles Saunders; and her sisters, Mary Saunders Lee and Louise Saunders Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Heard (John) and Jeffrey Proffitt (Cindy); her granddaughters, Kristin Proffitt Foster (Ryan), Brittany Proffitt Schoen (Earl) and Shannon Heard Rosser (Sam); her great grandchildren, Addison, Truitt Foster, Caroline and River Schoen; and her sister Janice Saunders Hatton. She is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews and their children.
