With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice M. Smith (Charlottesville, Virginia), who passed away on May 18, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Ford and Nelson W. Smith; her stepfather William Ford; and her brothers, Nelson and Claude Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Tywan (Anthony Dancy); her grandchildren, Tyana and Anthony Dancy of Maryland; her siblings, Karen (James), Daphine (Clarence), Linda (David), Dwain (Carman) and William; her godchildren, Queenie and Natasha Rush; her close friend Josephine Morrison; and her aunt Pearl Swift. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
