It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Rodgers Evans of Charlotte Court House, Virginia, born in Farmville, Virginia, who passed away on May 5, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Witherspoon Evans and Ollie Rodgers Evans Hedderly; and his granddaughter Callie Elizabeth. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Hicks Evans; his daughters, Catherine Trammell (John) and Caroline Watts (Jeff); his sister Kathleen E. Mitchell (Bert); his friend Arnold Tharpe (Peggy); and his grandchildren, John R. Trammell, Jr., Theadora T. Milliron (David), Cassie M Davis, Chad William Davis, Grace Reynolds and Sara Watts. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
