He is survived by: his siblings, Brenda Brinkley of Charlotte Courthouse, Sandra Spear (Jerry) of Charlotte Courthouse, Nancy Galbreath of Charlotte Courthouse and James Edward "Eddie" Jones of Charlotte Courthouse; his granddaughter Jessica Jones; and his great grandchildren, Jayden Strader, Savannah Ava Strader and Genesis DeHaven. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
