He is survived by: his children, Spike Stearnes Tammy Silby (Jack) and Tressy Newbill (Jeff); his grandchildren, Richard Stearnes, Amanda Estep, Ashlie Shealy, Stacey Townsend, Kyle Stearnes and Tyler Stearnes; and his sisters, Ollie E. Jamerson and Evelyn L. Stearnes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
