It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis James Davis of Charlotte Court House, Virginia, who passed away on May 31, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pernell Marshall Davis and Susie Bell Weldon Davis; his siblings, William Junior Davis and Lucille Davis Guill; and his nephews, Harold and Bobby Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Hamlette Davis; his children, Timothy Lewis Davis, Sr. and Melissa Davis Hamlett (Emory); his grandchildren, Erika Davis Condrey (Cody), Hannah Davis Ramsey (Andrew), Timothy Lewis Davis, Jr. (Renee) and William Tyler Hamlett; his great grandchildren, Addison Emerson, Greyson Condrey, Mia Ramsey and Evelyn Davis; his brother Herman Davis of Chesterfield; and his siblings-in-law, Catherine Shorter, Acie Hamlette (Alma), Bobby Hamlette (Elaine), Jimmy Hamlette and Jerry Wayne Hamlette (Brenda). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad.
