He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lee Dunnavant and Mary Walker Dunnavant; and his siblings, Mary Clay Roberts, Thomas Edwin Dunnavant and Anna D. Dennany.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hamlett Dunnavant; and his children, Jackie D. Hobgood (Howard) of Keysville, Cindy D. Watkins (Steve) of Raleigh, N. C., D. L. Dunnavant Jr. (Pam) of Cullen and Laurie D. Bowman (Kenneth) of Keysville. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
