He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Mitchell; and his sons, Charles Mitchell, Jr. (Mona), Jeffrey Mitchell (Theresa), Timothy Mitchell (Dana), Jerome Mitchell and Toby Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, three sisters, and one brother.
