He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Kenneth Burgess and Evelyn Elaine Burgess; and his siblings, Sharon Richardson and Raymond M. Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Barden Burgess; his stepdaughter Rebecca Gillen (David); his grandchildren, Caleb Gillen and Hailey Nicole Gillen; his sister Jeri Williams; his mother-in-law Frances Bailey; and his sisters-in-law, Susan Glasscock (Wayne) and Pam Dicker (Lou).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West End Assembly of God.
