It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Varnee Renee Quarles of Charles City, Virginia, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert P. Whitehead, Sr. and Princetta Crewe Whitehead; and her brother Robert "Scootie" P. Whitehead, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Lorenzo Johnson, Jr. (Monique) and Andrea Quarles; her granddaughters, Dymond Harris, MaKaylah, MaKyah Quarles and Brooklyne "Brook" Holmes; her great grandchild Karter; her sisters, Valerie, Princess, Shelly Whitehead, Marcia Brown and Vanita Vaughan (George); and her aunt Mary Crewe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
