It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valerie C. Meeks (Charles City, Virginia), who passed away on September 8, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas "Sawmill" Meeks; and her parents, Charles Smith and Lillian Smith. She is survived by: her siblings, Elwyn "Smitty" Smith and Nadine Kirby (Earl); and her nephews, Lee Kirby (Joy), Joseph Kirby and Danica. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Chickahominy Tribe, 8200 Lott Cary Rd, Providence Forge, Va. 23140.
