He was predeceased by: his parents, Berry Adkins and Geraldine Adkins; and his son-in-law Javier J. Smith. He is survived by: his children, Torland (Billie Jo) and Holly; his grandchildren, Shane, Lyric, Anokhi, Ellie and Daisy; and his siblings, Alva (Janet), Pearl (Melvin), Joyce, Thelma and Gwen (Conway). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
