She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert H. Carter Sr.; and her daughter Bertha R. Carter. She is survived by: her children, Herbert Jr. (Lynne Carter), Lloyd Sr. (Elaine Carter), Pearl (Blandon Dwyer), Althea (Henry Miles Jr.) and Cheryl (Archer Jones Jr.); and her sister Loretta Crawley. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
