She was predeceased by: her father Wilson Trower. She is survived by: her niece Rosa Brown; her nephew Douglas Smith Jr.; her brother-in-law Douglas Smith Sr.; and her cousin Deaconess Hancy Hatchett. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
After many years of service, she retired from The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's Lodge.
