She was predeceased by: her parents, Plato Marrow and Virginia Harris Marrow; her husband James Linwood Armstead; her sisters, Charlotte Trower, Mary, Cooke, Plato Marrow Jr., Elizabeth "Boo" Elliott, Alice Cropper and Rae Foster; and her sister-in-law Jacquelyn Marrow.
She is survived by: her children, Joan A. Wilson, Alonzo "Lonnie" Armstead and Stafford Armstead (Nichole); her goddaughter Marilyn Thompson (Lewis); her grandchildren, Kernell Bradsby (Bonita), Jason Armstead (Adrienne), Allyson Yoho-Uzomah (Johnny), Stafford II, Richardson and Katarina; her great grandchildren, Kemondre', Demonte', Preston, Austin and Yara; her siblings, Rev. George Marrow and Jacqueline Wallace; and her niece Robin Cropper. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
