George Vann Black Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Vann Black (Charles City, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Vann Black to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Black and Jesse Black; and his siblings, H. D. Black, Jim Black and Linda Black Washburn.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Banton Black; his children, George David Black (Sherry) and Charlotte Deanne Black (Dee); his brother John Black; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Hampton (William), Linda Mays (Harry) and Pauline Ankeney (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of extended family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial United Methodist Church (11000 Courthouse Rd, Charles City, VA 23030).
