He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Robert Rehder Sr. and Astridur Maria Rehder. He is survived by: his sister Nina Duggan; his brother-in-law Edmond Duggan; his niece Kirstin Drye (Brian Drye); and his nephew Spencer Duggan (Iliana Fernandez).

Memorials may be given in honor of his niece and nephew to The Hemophilia Association of the Capital Area.
