In loving memory of Kenneth Sherman Bissell (Centreville, Virginia), born in Exeter, New Hampshire, who departed this world on January 7, 2025 at the age of 79. Kenneth Sherman leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Kenneth Sherman may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kenneth Sherman touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly A. Brockmann Bissell; his children, Cory Edmund Bissell of Denver, Colorado and Dena Bissell Vandagriff; his granddaughters, McKenna and Lyla; his son-in-law Eric Vandagriff of Richmond, Virginia.; and also New England.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Centreville United Methodist Church (6400 Old Centreville Rd, Centreville, VA 20121).

“We were deeply saddened to read about Ken's passing. Our deepest condolences to Beverly and family. Ken was a key member of our Centreville United Methodist Church (CUMC) Gratitude and Generosity Council and Finance Subcommittee Generosity Team. Ken volunteered and taught classes on "Saving Grace - A Guide to Financial Health" to members of the CUMC congregation. We will sorely miss Ken's dedicated support to our Generosity Team.
