She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cuthbertson and Leona Cuthbertson; her sister Nancy Maholic; and her siblings-in-law, James Maholic, Sr., George Cunningham, Richard Brandow and Shymala Srinivasan.

She is survived by: her husband Jagannathan Iyengar (Jags); her sons, Jay and Andrew Iyengar; her daughter-in-law Jelena Stajic; her granddaughter Maya Iyengar; her sisters, Barbara Cunningham and Mary Brandow; and her brother-in-law N. Srinivasan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
