He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Jarrell and Bertha Jarrell; his sister Trina Orrison; and his family Harlis. He is survived by: his wife Viola Jarrell; his daughter Alice Jarrell (Walter Jones, Jr.); and his siblings, Teresia Houff, Beverly Morris and Lester Jarrell, Jr..
Before the pandemic, Harlis and Viola visited Rikki's Refuge in Orange, Virginia on several occasions.
