He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gervis Grim and Shirley Grim; and his siblings, Marcia Dorgeloh (Bill), Bruce Grim, Brian Grim and Darlene Hickey (Mark). He was also cherished by numerous nephews and nieces.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Dennis' name to the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association.
