She was predeceased by: her husband Holland Smith; her daughter Dana Lee Smith; her sister Nancy Jo Taylor; and her parents, William David and Nancy McAlhany Ackerman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Davenport (Greg) of Centreville, VA, Pamela Arciva (Santos) of North Charleston, SC and Anna Easler (Danny) of Pauline, SC.; and her siblings, Judith Wagers, Stephen Ackerman and Philip Ackerman. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
