It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Brooks of Center Cross, Virginia, who passed away on January 28, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother James Elmo Brooks; and his granddaughter Cathy Lynn Dean. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Balderson Brooks; his son Douglas Brooks (Marlo); his sister Rose Ellen Waters; his grandchildren, Carson Jr. "Tumbleweed", Jonathan, Alex, Damian and Wyatt; his great grandchild John Corbin; and his pet Timber.
