She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin Haskins and Ethel Haskins; her husband Douglas Holmes; and her brothers, James, Nathaniel and Robert.

She is survived by: her children, Queen E. Taylor of Richmond, VA and Michael A. Holmes (Cheryl) of Tappahannock, VA; her grandchildren, Angel, Christina, Sharise, Jonathan, Justin and Monté; and her siblings, Polly, Vina Lou, Joanne, Chris, Theodore and Earn Lee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
