With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Parlie Alfred Meadows (Cedar Bluff, Virginia), who passed away on June 27, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorn Edward and Clarcy Mae Meadows; his wife Ellen; his children, Larry Edwards and Diana Hale; his grandchildren, Jessica Edwards, Alex Meadows and Joseph Smith; and his siblings, David Meadows, Clyde Meadows, Arthur Meadows and Christine Lockhart.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Meadows, Lana Ward (James), Connie McCoy (Richard), Janey Sanders (Jerry) and Audrey Gail Smith (Joe Keith); and his sisters, Shelia Horn and Mildred Vance. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holston Valley Baptist Church, 18396 Cleveland Rd, Abingdon, VA 24211 where he attended faithfully.
