She was predeceased by: her parents, King Ball and Cordova Ray Ball; her husband Elbert William Sargent (Zeb); her son David Sargent; her grandsons, Zachary Kinder and Michael Kevin Sargent; her siblings, Beulah Reynolds, Lillian Gross, Thurman Ball, Carl Tence Ball and Burl Ball (Bub); and her sons-in-law, Jerald Plaster and Ronnie Burks.
She is survived by: her children, Betty (Johnny Puckett) of Cleveland, VA, Sylvia (Darrell Perkins), Gerald (Betty Sargent) of Doran, VA, Barbara Plaster of Swords Creek, VA, Rita Sargent of Honaker, VA, Janice (Jim Carmody) of Abingdon, VA, Mary (Randy Salyers) of Tazewell, VA, William (Becky Sargent) of Elk Garden, VA, Diana (Ricky Kinder) of Jewell Ridge, VA and Carolyn Burks of Grundy, VA; and her daughter-in-law Greta Sargent of Pounding Mill, VA. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren; a host of extended family and friends.
As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Commonwealth of Virginia Mandate, facial coverings and social distancing are required at all times.
