She was predeceased by: her close friend Sue "Suzy" Compton; her parents, Ralph Viars and Opal Viars; and her niece Heather Altizer. She is survived by: her daughter Linsey Horton Gibson; her son-in-law Gregory Gibson of Houston, Texas.; her siblings, Judy Long of Richlands, Virginia, Jackie Keen of Vansant, Virginia, Sue Harman of Tazewell, Virginia, Janet White of Richlands, Virginia and Michael "Mike" Viars of Richlands, Virginia.; and her former husband David C. Horton of Richlands, Virginia.. She is also survived by aunt, and several treasured nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
