She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson "Sam" Ray and Nancy Puckett Ray; her husband Roger Henry Smith; and her daughter Christy Ann Smith. She is survived by: her children, Roger Douglas Smith (Amanda) of North Tazewell, VA and Katherine L Whitt (Howard) of Cedar Bluff, VA; her brothers, Samuel "Sammy" Ray (Angie McGuire) of North Tazewell and Arvin Ray (Barbara Angles Ray) of Tazewell, VA; her grandchildren, Josh Belcher (Amber M.), David "Junior" Belcher (Amanda McKenna), Brandon Whitt, Amber Belcher (Steven Brown), Justin Shrader (Tiara), Sabrina Brown (Joe), Joseph Allen Belcher and Abigail Sawyers; and her close friend Gale Ketchum.
