He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Whitt and Ada Matney Whitt; and his brothers, Earl Whitt and Charlie Whitt. He is survived by: his wife Delores "Lois" Chambers Whitt; his son Lawson Darren Whitt (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Ashlee Morgan Whitt and Kellie Grace Whitt; and his siblings, Tracy Whitt (Geraldine), Andrew Whitt (Pearl), Geneva Little and Shirley Matney (Monroe). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
