He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lockhart and Trula Jackson Lockhart; and his siblings, Deanna (Norman Jackson) and John Lockhart. He is survived by: his wife Debra Kay Lockhart of Cedar Bluff, VA; his daughter Malissa Lockhart Gularson of Davidson, NC; his stepsons, Adam Daniel Cole of Cedar Bluff, VA and Joshua David Cole of Cedar Bluff, VA; his siblings, Linda Shortt (Don) of Belfast, VA, Gincy Stezar of Olney, MD, Angela Boyda (Tom) of Abingdon, VA and Michael Lockhart (Dana) of Cedar Bluff, VA.; and his grandchildren, Kaitlin Noelle Gularson of Charlotte, NC, Sarah Abigail "Abby" Gularson of Knoxville, TN and James David Gularson of Davidson, NC..
