He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dye and Lola Vance Dye; his wife Frances Richardson Dye; and his siblings, Cletus Dye, Dexter Dye, Robert Dye, Frances Breedlove and Debbie Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Beavers, James Dye (Becky) and Peggy Dye (Tony Lowe); his siblings, Chester Dye of Ohio, Mary Ann Tuggle of Ohio and Linda Sisk of Bandy, VA; his grandchildren, Clara Damron (Josh), Elizabeth White (Derek) of Emily Dye, C. J, Nicholas Dye and Chandler Perkins (Alexis Keen); and his great grandchildren, Carson Beavers, Madilyn Damron and Jaxson Damron.
