He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Edward VanDyke and Shelby Jean Shortt VanDyke; and his brother-in-law Donald "Don" McGlothlin. He is survived by: his daughter Sara Staten (Phillip); his siblings, Rita McGlothlin, Dennis "Bootie" VanDyke and Darrell VanDyke (Freida Dye); and his close friend Terry Smith.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Singleton Funeral and Cremation Service (1116 Cedar Valley Dr, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
