He was predeceased by: his parents, Ovel L. Shelton and Maymie G. Shelton; his wife Linda H. Shelton; his siblings, Bobbie S. Waddell and Michael B. Shelton; and his grandson William Blake Shelton.
He is survived by: his children, Brent Shelton (Kara), Teresa Cain (Richard) and Lisa Jones; his grandchildren, Elecia, Robert and Paige; his great grandchildren, Brandon, Emma, Cameron and Preston; his siblings, Harry K. Shelton of Roanoke, VA, Lee Anna Blackburn (Ranny) of Cedar Bluff, VA, Karen Tuggle (Gary) of Abingdon, VA and Carole Bjorklund (Jon) of Sugar Hill, GA; and his siblings-in-law, Don Waddell of Tazewell, VA and Beverly Shelton of Beaufort, SC.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
