It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas MacArthur Steele of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on March 27, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William, Sr. Steele; his wife Phyllis Simmons Steele; and his brothers, Vinson Steele and William Steele, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Pansy Leona Bandy Steele; his daughter Melissa Muir (Sam) of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; his siblings, Shirley Rust of Johnson City, TN, Peggy Hawthorne of Atlanta, GA, Katye Ramey of Cedar Bluff, VA, Bonnie Niemi of Bristol, VA, Bud Steele (Joan) of Knoxville, MD and Jim Steele (Judy) of Bristol, VA; and his sisters-in-law, Yvonne Monk of Bristol, VA, Mary Ruth Steele of Cedar Bluff, VA and Linda Steele.
