He is survived by: his wife Arlene Slone McClanahan; his children, Robin VanDyke (Marcus) of Roanoke, VA, Paul Anthony McClanahan (Millie) of Grundy, VA and Jennifer Lowe (Yancey) of Meadowview, VA.; his grandchildren, Danielle Wolfe (Nicholas), Taylor Street, Elijah Desrosiers, Silas Desrosiers and Eden Desrosiers; his great grandchild Elle Wolfe; his siblings, Danny McClanahan (Rhonda), Benny McClanahan (Linda), Kenneth McClanahan (LuAnne), Lola Sue McElyea (Kenneth) and Rebecca Smith (Tom); and his close friends, Betty Ratliff and Marcella Hensley (Willie).
