She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant Triplett and Armenta Magdalene Price Triplett (Minne); her husband Edward Stanley Stress; her stepparents, Hazel Triplett Quesenberry and Russell Quesenberry; her siblings, Dale Triplett, Sallie Elizabeth Triplett Ramey and Nannie Grace Boardwine; her half-sister Glenda Joyce Morris; and her stepbrothers, Charlie Joe Moody and Robert Bobby Moody.
She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Ann Compton (Robert) of Jolo, WV and Donna Kay Thornsbury (Michael) of Bluefield, WV; her grandsons, Scotty Lee Hughes (Crystal) of Raysal, WV, David Wayne Hughes (Dare) of Gary, WV and Steven Brett Austin Bailey of Welch, WV; her great grandchildren, Robert Edward Hughes, Donovon Poore (Kristen) and Hannah Burks; her great great grandchild Nevaeh Poore; her stepsiblings, Patsy Stapleton of Fayette, NC and Jackie Ray Triplett of Hiawassi, VA; her niece Jean Darnell (Jeannie) of Kingsport, TN; and her close friend James Hamm (Jim) of Bluefield, WV..
