It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sandra Gay Herndon of Catlett, Virginia, born in Arlington, Virginia, who passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Jacob Kerns and Effie Noland Kerns; her husband Robert "Bobby" Herndon Sr.; and her siblings, Samuel Delaney Kerns, Jacob Gary "John" Kerns, James Andrew "Billy" Kerns, Stanley "Bo" Kerns, Layton "Bobby" Kerns and Nancy Kirby.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Herndon Jr. (Brenda McKendry) of Manassas, VA and Evelyn Cobert (Thomas) of Bealeton, VA.; and her grandchildren, Breann Griffith of Culpeper, VA, Hayley Herndon of Winchester, VA, Paige Herndon of Bealeton, VA and Addison Cobert of Bealeton, VA..

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA 20186 to help with funeral expenses.
