He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Cooper and Ellen Cantrell Vanover; his son Douglas Wayne Cooper of Pounding Mill; and his sister Shelby Stepp of Nashville, Tennessee.. He is survived by: his former wife Naomi Joyce Kennedy of Bradshaw; his wife Joyce Cooper of Catlett; his daughter Kim Johnson of Casanova; his grandchildren, Terrence Johnson (TJ) and Eva Johnson (Tim Boswell) of Casanova; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Allen, Ashur Boswell of Casanova and Virginia; and his sister Shirley Kennedy of Fredericksburg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
