It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Shehigh Mitchell Jr. of Catawba, Virginia, born in Bartow, Florida, who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Shehigh Mitchell, Sr. and Lillian Irene Foglesong Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gardner Mitchell; his sons, Joseph Shehigh Mitchell, III (Amanda Kaye), Joshua Allen Mitchell and Jamie Barrett Bogle; his grandchildren, Mia Kaye Mitchell and Joseph Shehigh Mitchell, IV; his siblings, William Henry "Billy" Mitchell (Elaine) and Rebecca Fox (Bill); and his daughter Briana DeSanctis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
