It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Sisson (Catawba, Virginia), who passed away on March 2, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Arthur and Bessie Aldridge Sisson; his former wife Margaret Beckner Sisson; his siblings, Frank, Clarence, James, Archie, Katharine Sisson and Alyse Ashwell; his wife Fay Wingate Sisson; his daughters, Renee Slaughter (Mike), Lisa Vaughan and Angela Dillard; his siblings, Roy (Joyce), Lewis, Calvin and Sue Keesling (Otto); and his grandchildren, Justin Slaughter (Julia), Melodie Hughes (Dustin), Brandi Young (Ryan) and Tori-Lynn Houston. He was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the J.D. Sisson Golf Scholarship Fund, Roanoke County Schools, 5937 Cove Road in Roanoke, Va. 24019, or to the charity of your choice.
